Artist Statement

In January 2015, I began photographing in the abandoned housing area of the former George Air Force Base in Victorville, CA. I continued working at this site for the following ten years. I shot “Dead Mirrors” in 2015, the first body of work completed at this site. I made the images with an 8x10 view camera and color negatives. The negatives were subsequently drum scanned, and the final prints were realized as 40x50 pigment prints.
